I was delighted when LUCKY magazine sent me this gold sequined jacket designed by Baby Phat right before the holiday!  I just checked and this jacket is on SALE!!!  Retails for $69.00 and is now selling for $27.60 a great piece to add to your Spring wardrobe.   I thought fabulous, I love wearing sequins, or anything that adds to the festive feeling of the holiday.   You might reserve all your sparkly, bedazzled frocks for just November and December but if you had a front row seat at New York Spring Fashion Week 2012 you would know that bringing the bling out this Spring is what it’s all about.  Take the hips looks from Anna Sui, Jenny Packham and Jeremy Scott below.  There are many Friday nights where I sit  in my closet and think UGH what can I add to really make this oufit POP?  When you have different sequined pieces from gold, bronze and silver you have tons of options to incorporate them into your everyday wear.  I love that this Baby Phat jacket has a little bell to the sleeve and is light weight.  I can transition this jacket into Spring by wearing creams, whites and soft blushes. I love how this will give me a soft, sweet look with great embellishment.

I am always excited and honored to be a part of Indian weddings, as a hair and makeup artist there is such range when it comes to colors, design and the whole feeling of the Indian culture.  Nahid our bride was such a delight to work with,  funny, easy going and so beautiful.  The weekend festivities took place at The Bath Club and The Raleigh Hotel in South Beach.  The decor and event planning took your breathe away from the crystal candelabras to the hanging tea lights compliments of TC Event and Design. The weekend was captured by an amazing photographer Mary Beth Tyson .  Makeup by Fresh Beauty Studio Team, Hair by Nikol Johnson.

I was excited when I had my micro pigmentation consultation with Emily last week.  Listening to Emily’s concerns about her high anxiety on having to draw in her brows every morning or making sure that by the end of the day she still had brows made her the perfect client for permanent makeup.  These are concerns I hear with all my permanent makeup clients.  I listened to Emily’s concerns and created a sample brow with a brow pencil first so she could see what her brows should look like according to her bone structure.  From the first picture below you will see how Emily’s brows looked like when she drew them on and first came to the studio.  The second picture is what Emily’s natural brows look like with no pencil. Pictures three through five show you the results of using the brow stroke micro pigmentation advanced technique.  I preformed this procedure using a #1 needle and three custom pigments.  It was important to create depth and contrast since Emily did not have any hair.  You will see how the brow hair strokes look natural and compliment Emily’s bone structure.  It is amazing the transformation that micro pigmentation does for my clients. They no longer have to stress or worry that their brows are going to wipe off or happen to disappear at work, the beach or on vacation.  It will change your life not having to spend hours drawing on your brows or stressing about the shape, perfect arch etc.  For more information on your permanent makeup consultation, please contact the studio.
