Off again to the islands for our beautiful bride and groom’s island wedding on the amazing tiny island of Bimini in the Bahamas. The 3 day festivities were kicked off with a beachy rehearsal dinner, intimate ocean front sit down dinner and a Sunday brunch. The feel for the hair and makeup was very natural, chic and glowy. Lani our bride wanted to keep her hair down with Jessica Simpson style curls each day. We wanted to keep the hair romantic but natural adding in a couple orange orchids for the wedding day.  The makeup look varied for each event from dramatic on Friday night to soft and defined for the wedding. There is nothing like being in the islands for a holiday wedding and having unusually cool weather (60 degree’s that’s what we are talking about).

Joi just gave me the CD from her August 23rd, 2008 wedding! I was so excited to download her pictures and share them with you. Joi was a unique bride for Fresh Beauty Studio, she arrived at our studio with a huge 3 ring binder of hair and makeup trials and the first words out of her mouth were “I have had 12 trials and I am not happy with any of them” YIKES! Joi wanted to create a very dark smoky eye with a pinky nude lip; you can see from the pictures that this look created a very modern, clean look for her with her wedding colors of pink and soft champagne.

Joi had dreamed of having her wedding at The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach www.thebreakers.com since she was a little girl. Her dreams did come true last August with a beautiful wedding and amazing honeymoon. She is a huge fan of pink as you can see by her bridesmaid’s dresses and her bridal bouquet. I love the parasols on the beach!

We were honored to be a part of Dale and Anar’s Hindu wedding festivities this past weekend in Birmingham, Alabama. Brittney (one of our National Stylists) and I packed our kits and were off to the southern State of Alabama. Their wedding took place at the Marriott Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/bhmhv-renaissance-ross-bridge-golf-resort-and-spa/ a beautiful property that gave a bit of Southern charm. It was amazing to see the leaves changing and have the cool crisp air hit our faces each time we walked outside. Each time we got into the car we were waiting for “Sweet Home Alabama” to play on the radio but instead we sang it ourselves, not the best but it made us laugh. 

For Anar, Brittney created a very red carpet loose a la Eva Longoria bun with Stavorski crystals placed in the hair to create definition. For the ceremony makeup I created a wash of gold and pink lined with a medium thick black liquid liner with full lashes. Anar was not a huge blush girl so we added a bit of sheen to her cheeks to create contrast and that “dewy look”.  For the reception we were able to really create some drama for our bride. We added hair extensions and deep purple hues to her eyes with a nude lip. We were impressed with Anar’s wedding shoe indecisiveness; she bought 3 Christian Louboutin http://www.christianlouboutin.com  shoes not knowing which ones she should wear! We LOVE that! We have been waiting for this weekend since the early part of the summer. Our bride found us on Style Me Pretty www.stylemepretty.com and booked us from the Big Apple. We (myself and one of our National stylists) are off this weekend to do hair and makeup for a beautiful Indian bride in Birmingham, Alabama! The view off the Glimmer ballroom was just breath taking this morning not to mention the beautiful weather in South Florida, a cool 65 degrees. Jeffrey Chirinos the director of catering at the Fountainbleau www.fontainebleau.com gave us an amazing tour of this truly intoxicating mix of old and new 21st century glamour. A quick stop into Solo the hotels historical bakery for handmade chocolate and champange bon bon’s Jeffery must have known we have a soft spot for chocolates! Solo offers iconic cakes and pastries revived under the direction of award-winning pastry chefs Jean-Marie Auboine (Executive Pastry Chef) and Sylvain Bortolini (Assistant Pastry Chef)  If you are looking to have your wedding on South Beach with tons of options for unique wedding space all in one property The Fountainebleau is one of a kind.

Put a bunch of Southern ladies in a room for hair and makeup and you get one laugh out loud group. Holly booked the studio from Knoxville, Tennessee she was such a laid back bride we couldn’t believe it, so laid back that she forgot her veil at the studio. Set to have her amazing wedding at The Breakers www.thebreakers.com in Palm Beach, Florida (ceremony on the great lawn  and reception in the Gold Room) Holly opted for a smokey eye with a sugary lip, her hair was set with loose curls adding some height at the crown for a romantic southern feel. Of course I am posting the photo I took today which as you can see I am not a photographer, no worries Terry her photographer will be sending us the whole wedding in a couple of weeks so stay tuned.

WOW! is all we could say today when tasting Candy’s cupcake pops! We scheduled all our tasting’s the week of my birthday to make turning a year older just that much sweeter.  Candice fits perfectly in with Fresh Beauty Studio’s style of design and need for high quality tasty sweet gifts.
