I was so excited to see one of our brides from this past spring in Martha Stewart magazine online today. Candice looked beautiful, her wedding at the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club was exquisite. Candice opted for a fresh super clean makeup look and a simple bun. You can read about her wedding details by going to http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/candice-and-scott

There are many people in this world that will try and bring you down, keep your glossy locks in place, hold your head high and think “I am happy I am not like them”.  You are amazing, beautiful and a true blessing to this world.

Dwelling on the negative simply contributes to its power.
    Shirley MacLaine

Go out there girls and create the life you were meant to live!

I rented the movie “A Single Man” staring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore, the movie was written and directed by Tom Ford. It was the first movie in a long time where I loaded the DVD and couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. A movie about passion, deep emotions, love, and feeling lost. I was captivated by the 1960’s era that the movie was set in, the women looked so put together, polished and feminine, a look that I would like to bring back. It was a time where having cocktails (gin and tonic or a Manhattan) before dinner and dancing in your living room was considered the norm.

I was impressed with Tom Ford and his directorial debut, a movie where he was forced to finance the nearly $7 million project with his own money. Mr. Ford left Gucci in 2004 where he was a superstar designing 16 collections a year. The movie shows how meticulous Tom Ford is with his vision, the angles he shoots and the artsy aspect of the film. I can appreciate as an artist myself the indie feeling of the film. As Felicia Feaster put in her review of the movie “More than anything, the film is about the quicksilver moments of beauty and grace in our lives that allow us to rise above the truth of our own mortality.”

Sweet, beautiful and a joy to work with meet Kelly one of my brides this past spring season. Kelly and her girlfriends came into the studio last summer full of life and lots of champagne for Kelly’s trial run. It’s so much fun to have the girls in my studio’s living room talking about all the wedding details, drinking champagne and being super girly. I loved the look Kelly picked from her dress to her hair it was very high fashion, she was so cute she knew exactly what she wanted from the hair piece she brought with her to Kelly’s LOVE of lots of lashes. Take a look at her photos below by NeoArt  www.neoartphotography.com Jason and Ela are amazing and so easy to work with. I love the pictures they capture Kelly’s beautiful spirit and elegance.

    Congratulations Kelly and Brett!

I was delighted when Amy Hill wedding photographer extraordinaire www.amyhill.net came to my studio a couple of weeks ago to capture the pink and girly essence of Fresh Beauty Studio. Amy has a unique eye when it comes to capturing your wedding from the smallest details of your pedicure color just happening to be blue to the emotion on your finance’s face when he has no idea that there is a camera near him. I was so excited to see the final pictures of my studio and share them with you. Amy captured all my “little details” from loving Gerard Butler on my vision board to my pink paris book on my dresser. Thank you Amy for capturing Fresh Beauty Studio in a Fresh and Beautiful way.

Alright girls, summer is right around the corner so that means Bikini Season! I was just flipping through the May issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine and on page 120 it’s all about adding some flair to your hair down there. They give you some DIY tips and super cute stencils on the next page to trim your bikini line in either Love Triangle, Sweetheart, This way for Fun or Landing Strip. All of these four designs are in high demand by super chic spa gals around the country, if you are a real risk taker you can use a product called Betty Beauty www.bettybeauty.com  to dye the hair in either Blonde, Sexy (lavender), Love (Red), Lucky (Green), Fun (Hot Pink). Go ahead girls break out of your shell and show some color. Is your Betty ready?

Kelly looked so beautiful this past Easter weekend with her glowing smile and zen energy. Kelly was such a sweet bride to work with, she knew exactly what she wanted way back when she came into the studio with her girlfriends in July 2009. I remember Kelly was very strong with wanting a very high fashion yet vintage look for her wedding. She nailed the look with a very feminine white flower with feathers, it was the perfect accent piece for the vintage look. For her hair I created a high front and lots of texture with curls for her side bun very a la red carpet. Makeup was a smoky eye with espresso and gold tones, I put on new false eyelashes we just got into the studio for a Kim Kardashian look and Kelly LOVED them. I usually apply individual false lashes but the look Kelly wanted to achieve I couldn’t get with lashes that were all the same length so I opted for the more dramatic strip lashes; as you can see from the pictures her lashes were still not over done.

Her photographer was Neoart www.neoartphotography.com I love working with Ella and Jason they are professional and very calm on the day of the wedding. I can’t wait to see Kelly’s photos from NeoArt I will be updating this post once I receive them. Congratulations Kelly you looked beautiful and completely classic.
