Off again to the islands for our beautiful bride and groom’s island wedding on the amazing tiny island of Bimini in the Bahamas. The 3 day festivities were kicked off with a beachy rehearsal dinner, intimate ocean front sit down dinner and a Sunday brunch. The feel for the hair and makeup was very natural, chic and glowy. Lani our bride wanted to keep her hair down with Jessica Simpson style curls each day. We wanted to keep the hair romantic but natural adding in a couple orange orchids for the wedding day. The makeup look varied for each event from dramatic on Friday night to soft and defined for the wedding. There is nothing like being in the islands for a holiday wedding and having unusually cool weather (60 degree’s that’s what we are talking about).

Being half Greek and half French you can see my love of Paris and Greece in my studio. Living in Athens, Greece while modeling I gained valuable insight on the culture, people and love of the country. Visiting the Greek Islands and drinking ouzo was an incredible experience as you can imagine. I look forward to revisiting this beautiful country next year. Greece, A Love Story is the perfect book for those who have been to Greece, or even for those who simply dream of someday making the pilgrimage. Anyone who picks up this heartfelt collection of essays will gain a better understanding of Greece and all its magical charm and appeal. October 29th, 2009
Our Indian Bride Anar last weekend in Alabama a sneak preview from photographer Karen Wise www.karenwise.com October 27th, 2009
We were honored to be a part of Dale and Anar’s Hindu wedding festivities this past weekend in For Anar, Brittney created a very red carpet loose a la Eva Longoria bun with Stavorski crystals placed in the hair to create definition. For the ceremony makeup I created a wash of gold and pink lined with a medium thick black liquid liner with full lashes. Anar was not a huge blush girl so we added a bit of sheen to her cheeks to create contrast and that “dewy look”. For the reception we were able to really create some drama for our bride. We added hair extensions and deep purple hues to her eyes with a nude lip. We were impressed with Anar’s wedding shoe indecisiveness; she bought 3 Christian Louboutin http://www.christianlouboutin.com shoes not knowing which ones she should wear! We LOVE that! The photographer was Karen Wise http://karenwise.com we can’t wait to see her photos. We have posted below the pictures we took this past weekend keep checking back to see the real photos from Karen Wise. Congratulations Dale and Anar!

In the heart of the French Riviera, between Nice and the Principality of Monaco, Villa Schiffanoia www.villaschiffanoia.com enjoys a splendid panorama over the Bay of Villefranche-sur-Mer, one of the world’s most beautiful, against the backdrop of the promontory of Saint-Jean Cap-Ferrat. Particularly inspired, the Italian poet Gabriele d’Annunzio, after several stays here, named it La Schiffanoia, meaning “far from boredom”. Entirely rehabilitated in rigorous respect of the spirit of the times, it now offers a chance to plunge into the magnificence and comfort of the legendary Riviera’s heyday. In the late 1870’s, this exceptional location charmed one of the region’s greatest families who had the original structure built; the whole project, including the magnificent iron dome, was commissioned from Gustave Eiffel, the famous french engineer. Everything about this villa from the brilliant blue waters to the butter cream textured walls inspires me for makeup and painting. If you have not yet been to France I would highly recommend putting this beautiful country on your list of “Must See Places” you will remember your trip forever. « Older blog posts |
