I have been obsessing for a while now about the Jimmy Choo www.jimmychoo.com black Gilbert patent shoe. Just like the LBD every girl should have a classic black patent pump in her fabulous closet. When I was looking for a picture to post I ran across my pink patent Lumiere Jimmy’s. I love these shoes so much I did a photo shoot with Amy Hill www.amyhill.net last year wearing only my Jimmy Choo’s in a bathtub of course.

I am doing a little redecorating in the studio for a another big announcement in the next couple of months. I have had this plan in mind for over a year and a half. I am so excited to share this with you beauties! I stumbled across this picture today and thought that these chairs would look perfect in the studio.

A Night with Heather Jane Rolff

Heather Jane Rolff (love saying her full name) and I have been friends since freshman year of high school. We cheered together on the cheerleading squad for 4 years and supported each other in our developing extremely competitive careers. Heather as a singer/dancer/actor and I as a model. Heather the triple threat, worked at breaking into musical theater and I worked on getting my next big job as a model. When I was on the Maury Povich show for the ”Super Model of America” contest sponsored by FORD models, Ultimate II Cosmetics and JC Penny back in 1992, Heather and her Mom Pat were right there in the audience cheering me on. It’s hard to explain what challenges you face as an actress/model/singer/dancer if you are not in the business. Going on audtion after audition and hearing No, No, No can bring you to a place that feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel. There are so many factors as to why you didn’t get a job from your nose being to big to not having the right hair color; we both have heard it all.

You have to stay strong and focus on your ultimate goal. Heather has done just that, she has landed the staring roll of Helen in “Fat Pig” co-staring Dane Cook, Julia Stiles and Josh Hamilton opening on BroadwayApril 26th, 2011. Check out her press release in The New York Times It shows you that persistence and extreme talent will pull you to the top. I am so proud of Heather, in an industry where it’s easier to give up than to keep going. The picture below is from our celebration Sunday night after her appearance in Les Miserables at The Broward Center of Preforming Arts. I can’t wait to get to New York City in April to see how she rocks the “Fat Pig” stage!

Here I go again cleaning out and organizing my office, it’s so much fun when I run across a photo shoot that I don’t remember. I shot this in 2007 with photographer Ben Fink Shapiro www.benfinkshapiro.com it was an amazing shoot being in SoHo and living it up in New York City. I love how these pictures capture the New York energy and vibe.

Can’t wait to get back to the city this summer.

I was delighted when Amy Hill wedding photographer extraordinaire www.amyhill.net came to my studio a couple of weeks ago to capture the pink and girly essence of Fresh Beauty Studio. Amy has a unique eye when it comes to capturing your wedding from the smallest details of your pedicure color just happening to be blue to the emotion on your finance’s face when he has no idea that there is a camera near him. I was so excited to see the final pictures of my studio and share them with you. Amy captured all my “little details” from loving Gerard Butler on my vision board to my pink paris book on my dresser.
