My two favorite designers are Diane von Furstenberg www.dvf.com and Carolina Herrera www.carolinaherrera.com they are both classic and fresh. I picked out a couple of looks below from the New York Fall 2010 Fashion week, I think these dresses are perfect for your rehearsal dinner. Don’t follow the rules be unique and wear something that is a statement, fun and girly. The night before your wedding is a night where you can really express yourself and be a little adventurous with your wardrobe and makeup. You want to stay true to yourself but don’t play it safe, it’s a wonderful surprise when you see your pictures and you are glowing, beautiful and you feel completely confident. Your wedding weekend is all about you have fun and take that risk.

I just discoverd Perrier’s new flavor called Pamplemousee Rose (in French means Pink Grapefruit). I can’t get enough of this delicious refreshing sparkling water. I will be bringing this tasty little treat to the studio with me this week.

I have been on a mission looking for the perfect rehearsal dinner look for my bride Emily (she is so adorable and lives in the Big Apple) for this Friday night. While working out at the gym (this is where I find most of my inspiration) I was flipping through the March issue of my favorite magazine InStyle and saw this amazing gray smokey eye on JLo. YES!!!! I found it! the perfect amount of smokiness paired with chic sophistication. I love creating a totally different look than the “Bridal” look that we do on the wedding. The rehearsal dinner is a night where you can be sexy and go a little darker than you would on the wedding day. I am not going to go as dark as the smokey eyes on JLo in this picture but a variation of this look that will show my brides beauty and personality. I will be using NARS in Paris (you know I almost died when I bought this last year, my love for Paris on my eyes? couldn’t get any better than this.) Very Sexy shadow from Victoria Secret in Wink, either Feline or Smolder liner from MAC, NARS cheeks in Nico, NARS Multiple in Orgasm and NARS bronzer in Laguna. Lips are a new spring lip color from NARS called Cruising and gloss in Ophelia. I found this beautiful necklace on http://www.aretedesigns.com it’s amazing how having a necklace all about love, love letters (which is so rare now) and my favorite city Paris can do for your day. When you are having the not so fab day as in traffic, too much work, out of espresso pods you look down and are reminded that love is all around you, you just have to take a moment out of your day and remember that life is full of possibilities.

I am loving this color from Essie www.essie.com  called Macks (I know you have never heard that before from me). It’s the perfect color for that sexy Saturday night date where you play out the whole night when on the Stairmaster the week before. Your hands never looked so good picking up a martini glass and slowly bringing it to your lips making sure that your amazing nails are in full view. It’s a bad ass color for a bad ass girl.

You girls know how obsessed I am with polish colors, I change mine every 4 days depending on my mood. This look is called The Ombre look I think it’s chic and different. I am not a huge fan of crystals or nail art so this look takes it up a notch by keeping it high fashion/runway but not tacky. I think it’s a great look for “date night” or your next trip to New York City. It’s all about changing it up, putting your personality into your nails and making a statement.

This is my all time favorite Essie nail polish “Not Now” www.essie.com it is a coraly/red color that makes you feel like you are on the island of Capri, sitting on a yacht with a kir royale in hand; dreaming of sexy masculine French men in what ever that is they call swim trunks. When smoking was chic and there were no reprecussions for inhaling poison ohhh the days……..This color is vintage not available through Essie anymore but you can always check discontinued cosmetic sites for this delicious color.

As I sat watching Julie & Julia this past weekend I dreamed of booking my ticket to Paris and just roaming around the most romantic city in the world with fresh flowers and a freshly baked baguette. I saw myself sitting at a cafe where drinking wine at any hour is acceptable and encouraged while composing deep passionate poetry. I could watch Julie & Julia over and over again Meryl Streep did an amazing job playing Julia Child, it was so inspiring to see how Julia was a very driven, dedicated and passionate women. I am off to dream more about Paris………..
