I was so excited to book Mullady’s summer island wedding July 31st through August 3rd. Mullady is from New Orleans and her whole wedding party brought their Southern charm to the small island of Harbour Island in the Bahamas. What a delightful wedding party and probably one of the largest we have seen. Mullady had 12 bridesmaids and 12 groomsmen not to mention flower girls and ring bearers. We were back at the Pink Sands Resort www.pinksandsresort.com and couldn’t wait for Mullady’s festivities to start.  Molly the event coordinator at Pink Sands Resort did it again with amazing detail to every aspect of Mullady’s wedding.   The bridal party rented out many houses on the island, one house in particular was an amazing house called The Tree house right around the corner from the Rock House restaurant. It was the most adorable house, decorated in a shabby chic island feel.

I stayed at Coral Sands Resort www.coralsands.com  this visit to the island. It is the sister property to the Pink Sands Resort (see pictures below). I still can’t get over how blue the water is in the Bahamas it makes for the most beautiful pictures.

For Mullady’s rehearsal dinner I created a very Jessica Alba look, Mullady picked an amazing JCrew dress (see ivory dress below) for her rehearsal dinner. She was beaming, very natural with a touch of red carpet. For her wedding the bride choose an unconventional blue embroidered dress by designer Naeem Khan www.naeemkhan.com.  I created a loose beach wave with a bronzy/smoky eye for the ceremony and pictures. After the ceremony I met the bride back at Pink Sands to take out her veil and to give her makeup a more night time romantic feel by adding more liner and darker shadow, her hair was up and off her shoulders so she could dance the night away. I wanted to make sure the bride was not worrying about her hair looking flat. Remember everyone that comes to your wedding wants to see you, so make it the most memorable time and make sure you have a hair and makeup artist that is experienced with working on location in the islands. It makes a world of difference when you see the final pictures for your wedding album.

Get ready for the most amazing week long wedding celebration to hit the Ritz Carlton on Key Biscayne this past month. Aarti our bride flew in for her amazing 5 day celebration from cruising on a yacht party, hitting the Dupont for all night dancing to eating the most delicious food at The Setai and Mandarin Oriental. Aarti is a couture bridal designer in India her collections are truly amazing. The pictures below of the two women are wearing her designs. Everyone looked amazing and had the most memorable time.

Ciao, what an amazing break! I decided after a fully booked bridal season to take a break in the most romantic country possible ITALY! I enjoyed 2 weeks of delicious food, wine, company and culture. I visited Venice, Verona, Lake Garda, Vicenza to name a few. It is incredible to pick fruit off the vine and eat it while being amazed at how simple life can be. I truly enjoyed the Guggenheim museum, the works of art by Ernst (The Kiss, Attirement of The Bride) were very thought provoking. I look forward to exploring more of this beautiful country next summer.
