Stacy booked our studio from New York City not meeting an artist from our studio before her wedding. On one of my trips to New York City I planned a meet and greet so I could develop a relationship and get to know her style before her wedding on June 6th, 2009. All Stacy’s hard work and planning paid off, she had amazing weather for her ceremony and reception. Her bridal party looked very Palm Beach chic and the Bride was just radiant. Stacy booked the Presidential Suite (3,456 sq ft) at the resort for the ultra comfort of her bridal party get together’s and pre wedding beauty. The view was to die for and if you had a little spare time you could shoot a game or two of pool on the pool table in her suite.

Congratulations Stacy, we can’t wait to hear about your African safari honeymoon. Keep us posted.

Sonia booked our studio from Canada without a trial or ever meeting an artist from Fresh Beauty Studio, so we were so excited to finally meet her. My team and I arrived on site at the National Hotel www.nationalhotel.com to create a modern classic look for the bride and her bridal party.

Set in the heart of the Art Deco Historical District, The National Hotel Miami restores timeless elegance to Miami Beach’s world-famous oceanfront. Treat yourself to this premier choice of South Beach hotels, where the grace and style of the 1940’s meet the latest conveniences of the modern era. Known for its chic, luxurious accommodations and classic décor, this distinctive South Beach Miami hotel beckons guests with an unparalleled setting:

  • Located directly on the oceanfront in South Beach, Miami

  • In the center of the famous Art Deco Historic District

  • Two blocks from the Miami Beach Convention Center

  • Just steps from the area’s best dining, shopping, and nightlife

Sonia was an absolutely radiant bride, her skin was beautiful with not one imperfection. I gave her a very sheer clean look for her wedding day, just highlighting her eyes with a neutral palette and giving her some contour on her cheeks and jaw bone. Her dress was very fitted and simple adding to her elegant style that she had created for her wedding. Her bridal shoes were a soft metallic gold made by Town; her shoes were part of the Spring/Summer ‘09 Barbie collection. You can see Barbie’s face on the bottom of her shoe. Sonia and her bridal party looked very classic with a modern edge just like the venue they picked.

I love the movie “Something’s Got to Give” with Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, the movie takes place in the Hamptons and is full of romance and French music. My favorite part of the movie is that it ends in PARIS!!!!  Memorial Day was an adventure to say the least! I took a little break from working and went to the Hamptons for a little R&R over the Mermorial Day weekend.  My trip turned into a winery tour from Sag Harbour to the Northfork. We tried every wine, port, champagne you can imagine and had a blast. Chilling out in the vineyard with cheese, olives and wine what could me better? I loved the vast green fields, wild bunnies and the fresh air. Our tour included Sag Harbour, shopping in Bridgehampton and getting lost in every village. We brought some of our Miami party nights to the Hamptons, making an appearance at The Harbour Club, AXE Lounge and Lily Pond.  The Hamptons is for sure on my list of cities to visit again next summer.

I had the pleasure of meeting with the Fountainblu Hotel this past week, I have to say AMAZING there is so much history about this hotel not to mention the billion dollar renovation it recently went under. Here is a shot of the beautiful pool while I was waiting for the valet.

I love this color by Essie called Loophole,  it’s so different and not expected for summer. I do kind of feel like I am part robot and part futuristic sex cat.  I went to new W hotel this past week for a mani and cocktails, I have been dying for Bliss Spa to open, it’s finally here. A little update on the new W hotel here in Fort Lauderdale. Overlooking the famed South Florida beach with unobstructed ocean views, W Fort Lauderdale has sand and surf on one side, and intracoastal elegance on the other. W Hotels draws its inspiration from the elements of the earth, water, fire and air to deliver the ultimate WOW experience. Now when I need to get a little pick me up, I will pass on my espresso (and this is a major sacrifice) and head down to my favorite spa of all time for a little R&R. If you haven’t experienced Bliss www.blissspa.com you must schedule ASAP.

I took a picture of this sign when I was in Harbour Island last month; it’s just a simple love recipe for everlasting love.

I should have that song “On the road again” playing on my ipod :-) This past weekend we were off to another destination wedding at Hawks Cay Resort on beautiful Duck Key in the Florida Keys. It really is amazing that we live in a tropical paradise. Traveling on this small slender road looking at the bright blue waters all around and seeing the sun set was just amazing. Luana was our beautiful Brazilian bride, and the wedding party were such a fun group of girls! I have to say I have never heard girls that loud before in my life, they were having a blast drinking champagne, laughing and speaking in 3 different languages. We see here again a trend with the bridesmaids wearing short cocktail dresses. The bridesmaids really love the idea of having a dress they can wear again to a cocktail party and not have the dress scream BRIDESMAID. The  color palette for the bridesmaids was a deep smoky plum eye with a rosy/sheen cheek. The Bride went for a classic brown/bronze eye with lots of lashes and a pinky/nude lip. Luana and Jonathan left to explore the South of France today for 2 weeks!   Bon voyage!

Congratulations Luana and Jonathan!  I started taking pictures of the resort, the backyard of our villa and then my creative side took over so you will see pictures of the flowers, white picket fences you name it. Enjoy!

Getting the whole bridal party ready while looking out on the golf course was such an amazing site not to mention I was dying to run and get my clubs. Alisha and her bridal party were so much fun, even Sadie her little yorkie wore a veil. The bridesmaids wore Melissa Sweet cocktail dresses that looked so chic, it was a nice change from the typical long bridesmaid dress. I decided on a shimmery wash of lavender with deeper shades in the same family on the eyes for the bridal party to compliment what the girls were wearing. Alisha wanted a very clean, natural look but with a touch of red carpet style so I went with a bronze shimmery palette to give her eyes a pop. She looked amazing! The Bride was off the next day to Italy and Greece for her honeymoon. Congratulations Alisha looking forward to seeing you back in the studio for your brows!
