The Scent of Anastasia Steele
If you haven’t already been erotically saturated with 50 Shades of Grey by now then you probably have been needle pointing or doing something super exciting like that. I picked up my little book of erotica at the airport when we were leaving for our honeymoon, I have to say I was intrigued by all the hype even if I am a little late to the game. Throughout the book I would envision what type of makeup look Anastasia would wear or what perfume she would pick out for her “Red Room” experiences. The launch of Petale Noir Fragrance by Agent Provocateur this Valentine’s Day is beyond perfect for Anastasia. Petale Noir is a departure from AP’s other fragrances that mainly are smoky, woody and spicy. Pétale Noir is designed to relate a “hidden sultriness,” one that begins much more innocently such as Anastasia.
This “hidden sultriness” features innocent top notes of waterlily, bergamot, violet leaves, hyacinth and ‘flower stem’ on the darker side of this fragrance it pulls from musks, leather, vetiver, tobacco leaf, amber, oakmoss, sandalwood, labdanum and patchouli. Packaged in a dusty pink, flower adorned bottle that features a black chain closure-Christian Grey would be so proud.
