Austin Scarlett Bridal Collection
You had me at “Parisian vintage couture.” I was mesmerized when I watched the Austin Scarlett Bridal Runway Show Fall 2013-14. Former “Project Runway” alum Austin nails it with his inspiration to make women look and feel their most beautiful. I have seen many bridal runway shows where the hair and makeup either distracts from the collection or it’s just too boring. Austin wanted a fun, fresh and youthful look to the hair and that’s just what Jacqui Davis did for the models, it was a play off the top knot, smooth, super shiny with lots of texture on the bun. Makeup artist Christyna Kay created a romantic, young and fresh look focusing on radiant skin, rosy cheeks and keeping all the drama for the eyes.
The music sets you back to a world of glamour, balls and when champagne was poured in vintage delicate etched glasses. I had a moment or two of imagining myself coming down grand marble staircases with dim chandeliers, I know I know snap out of it. Austin loves making women beautiful and it shows in his bridal silhouettes, he wanted to stay true to his love of femininity in this collection with hints of glamour and elegance. This collection fit the models perfectly and sweep effortlessly down the runway. Truly understanding the female form from one shouldered to strapless, details of tulle, textured silks and layers upon layers of petals and floral inspirations. This collection was a stand out among some of the bridal runway shows I have seen lately.
There was a lot of diversity to the dresses not only for your wedding day but for a ball, black tie event or do I dare say just because you want to feel glamorous? Would you wear one of these dresses for your wedding day? Would love to hear your thoughts on this collection. Leave a comment below.
